　　It was a fine day in July when summer holidays began. The East Airline Company usually provides teachers and students with the privilige of traveling half fare during the vacation. So I bought the ticket and boarded the plane.

　　The plane moved round and round the field before it took off. Then it left the ground and I was in the air. It was so smooth and stable that I felt just like sitting at home. As the plane was flying higher,I saw cotton-like clouds spread over the fields and hours below. The plane with its wings spread, just like an eagle, wassoaring in the sky. As it rose higher and higher above the ground, I saw nothing but a sea of wbite clouds with a blue belt hanging like a rainbow.Within 40 minutes the plane was ready to land at its destination, Shanghai. The plane was nearing the ground. Again I saw threads of roads and matchbox-like houses. The toy-like cars were moving.

　　It was a pleasant trip, only the time bad been too short.
