As far as I am concerned, it is immoral to practice preferential practices in employment hiring and college admissions. The most important principle of employment hiring and college admissions is equity and justice which plays an essential role in ensuring optimal configuration of talents in society and at school. To practice preferential practices obviously runs counter to the principle of equity and justice and it is also detrimental to personal advancement and social development.
To begin with, personal advancement can't go without sound social morality in employment hiring and college admissions. As we know, employment hiring is the basic way of attracting talents. If leaders of corporations practice preferential practices in employment hiring and college admission, how can individuals find a well-content job and realize their talent and how can students be admitted by their ideal school? Once unrecognized for his talent, every individual and student would feel frustrated and underutilized under such circumstances. If the incompetent are employed or admitted due to preferential practices, will they really cherish and make the fullest of the easy-to-get job and education opportunity? Probably not. Instead it won't do any good to their future development. All in all, preferential practices are by no means moral and desirable to personal advancement.
Worse still, preferential practices in employment hiring and college admissions are all the same harmful to social development. Fair play is critical to moral development of society. Preferential practices in employment hiring and college admission violate social moral standard which would cause more and more injustice and miscreancy. The worst consequence of preferential practices in employment hiring and college admissions is that every one would take the risk of practicing preferential practices to obtain a job or enter the college. That is to say, more illegal acts will be elicited.
In conclusion, we must oppose and reject all kinds of immoral preferential practices in employment hiring and college admissions so as to obtain a better environment of personal advancement and social development.
