5. Ma Chao.

Ma Chao, styled Mengqi, was the heir of famous “General of the Hidden Waves”, Ma Yuan. He wielded a Tiger Head Golden Drill Spear and wore silver armor, looking like a general from the heavens and gaining the nickname “Ma Chao the Splendid”. He battled since he was young, and first proved his power when he battled against Li Jue and Guo Si, who seized control of the palace, with his father at age 18. He later tried to revenge his father’s death by going to battle with Cao Cao, and he made Cao Cao cut his beard, tear off his robes, and then wrap his chin in cloth after his beard cutting was spotted during a chase. But, he was chased off to the lands of Qiang after he was tricked by Cao. Surrendering to Zhang Lu, Ma Chao was sent to help Liu Zhang defeat Liu Bei. At Yang Ping pass, Ma Chao fought Zhang Fei, proving them both very good spearmen, and then arranged a midnight duel, in which he tried to throw a meteor hammer at Zhang Fei while Zhang Fei was trying to shoot an arrow at him from fifty yards away. Later, Ma Chao surrendered after an advisor of Liu Bei went to his camp and explained to him how good a man Liu Bei was. (liuxuepaper.com)

6. Zhang Fei

Zhang Fei, styled Yide, was the sworn brother of Liu Bei and Guan Yu. He wields an 18 Feet Snake Lance and wears black armor all over his body. Not only was he a good warrior, but he had other interests too. For example, Zhang Fei liked to plant trees and work in the garden. He also liked calligraphy, and there are still poems written by Zhang Fei in the city of Chengdu today. Zhang Fei was a great help in many battles, including the Battle of Hulao Gate, in which he was the first of the brothers to challenge Lu Bu. The Battle of Long Slope, in which he helped Zhao Yun by yelling at the Cao armies, making them retreat with fear. On the way to Szechwan, Zhang Fei used a trick to capture old general and the teacher of many Szechwan generals, Yan Yan, and made him surrender. Yan was able to convince many other generals to surrender to Zhang Fei along with him. Zhang Fei also was able to trick General Zhang He into thinking that he was drunk so they should attack the Shu armies. But in truth, Zhang Fei was perfectly sober and led his armies to a victory in that battle.

7. Huang Zhong

Huang Zhong, style Hansheng, was an old general of the Shu armies. He wields a “Golden Blood Light Mountain Chopping Silver Dragon Blade”, which was a blood-colored blade he found in a cave. He also had a Golden Carved Treasured Bow, which he can use to shoot anything within sight accurately, and that was why he carries only two arrows instead of the regular twelve. Formerly Han Xuan's subordinate, he fought Guan Yu in a blade duel to a draw before joining Liu Bei. At Hanzhong, he had great success against Cao general Xiahou Yuan at the Ding Jun Mountains, for he succeeded in killing the general and opening the gate to Hanzhong for Liu Bei. That gave him the most credit for the seizure of the plains of Hanzhong. He was later named a Tiger General along with Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and Ma Chao. Huang Zhong died in the Battle of Wu, in which he got shot many times and died, saying that he was not able to revenge Guan Yu’s death, but he lived long enough.

8. Xu Chu

Xu Chu, styled Zhongkang, was the best warrior in the Wei armies after Dian Wei died. Trusted by Cao Cao, he was one of his bodyguards alongside Dian Wei. He wields an Elephant Trunk Ancient Crescent Blade and once dueled Ma Chao for more that three hundred rounds without even showing a hint of tiredness. Later, he tore off his clothes and threw away his blade, and grabbed Ma Chao’s spear, breaking it in half and the two warriors each grabbed half of it and started to hit each other. Cao Cao saw this and commented Xu Chu as a “crazy tiger”, therefore his nickname. He loved to drink though, and sometimes can get drunk and forget anything that was said to him, a problem that failed him in the protecting of Cao Cao’s food supplies, making Zhang Fei able to stab him, making him realize what was happening.

9. Sun Ce

Sun Ce, styled Bofu, was the eldest son of Sun Jian. He once wielded a steel spear and the Ancestral Broadsword of his father, and was nicknamed the Small Aggressive King, which compared him to Xiang Yu, a great general of all times. He pacified the southeast, and started the foundation for the kingdom of Wu, which he passed down to Sun Quan, the first emperor of Wu, after his death. He once battled Taishi Ci in battle during his attack of the warlord Liu Yao, and the two warriors fought a battle that many have never seen before. Sun Ce grabbed Taishi Ci’s spear, and Taishi Ci grabbed Sun Ce’s, making them both fall off their horses. Sun Ce, seeing the two halberds on Taishi Ci’s back, grabbed them and hacked them at Taishi Ci. Taishi Ci then pulled of Sun Ce’s helmet as a shield. They then punched and rolled on the floor till all their armor has fallen off. Unfortunately, this great warrior died of assassination.liuxuepaper.com
